Why couldn't it fetch captions from my episode's YouTube link?
Browsers block a page on one site from directly reading data from another site unless that site explicitly allows it, and YouTube doesn't allow this for its caption endpoint — that's expected, not a bug here. Download the captions from YouTube yourself, or use whatever transcript your host already generated, and drop that file in below.
Does this transcribe the audio itself?
No — this reads captions or a transcript that already exists, it doesn't run AI transcription on raw audio. If you need the audio transcribed from scratch and you're the creator, that's a separate step before you'd have anything to paste or drop in here.
